Due to the policy changes, UCSD AMSA is having a new program that will allow you to explore the healthcare field through the different opportunities.

  • You CANNOT put “AMSA member” on any applications or official documents

MEMBERSHIP

$75 for 4 years of pre-medical training

National AMSA has changed their policy! In compliance, UCSD AMSA will only be accepting the $75/5years national membership (you can sign up through www.amsa.org for premedical membership). National membership allows you to list yourself as “AMSA member” on any applications or official documents.

ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Active membership gives members a greater chance of participation in high priority events that include community service trips, shadowing opportunities, and networking events. To remain active, members must attend the following for each academic quarter:

2 GENERAL BODY MEETINGS (GBM)

1 COMMUNITY SERVICE EVENT

1 HOUR OF FUNDRAISING

1 SOCIAL EVENT (NOT A FAMILY SOCIAL)

2 HOURS OF PUBLICITY OR 1 HOUR CHALKBOARDING
